Disc brake pad spacer for Shimano and SRAM calipers
The little plastic spacer that stops hydraulic brake pads closing when the wheel is out is always the first thing lost from a bike bag. This one slides between the pads of a Shimano Deore, XT, GRX or SRAM Level, Code and G2 caliper: a 1.9 mm thick blade 30 mm deep and 25 mm wide that matches a rotor, a 12 mm keeper tab that hooks over the caliper body so it cannot fall into the rotor slot, and a 6 mm hole for a loop of cord. Print it flat in PETG or PLA at 100 percent infill.
Different calipers have different pad spacing and body widths, so a single downloaded spacer is often too fat for a road caliper or too loose for a four-piston MTB one. Tell SpeakCAD your brake model, preview the spacer free in the browser, adjust the thickness in the chat, then download the STL and print a handful.
Design a disc brake pad spacer with a 1.9 mm thick blade 30 mm deep and 25 mm wide, a 12 mm tall keeper tab folding over the caliper at 90 degrees with 2 mm thickness, a 6 mm cord hole in the tab and 0.5 mm chamfers on the blade edges.
