Measure, describe, check, download
The part that needs designing is rarely next to the computer. The phone is always next to the part. About ten to fifteen minutes from a tape measure to a downloaded file, standing where the problem is.2
Start from a shape, or describe the part with the measurements you took
Pick a box, a plate, a cylinder or a tray and shape it: tap a face to add a hole, cut a pocket, add a tab, extrude a flat face or round its corners, with every size and position typed in millimetres. Or type what you need the way you would tell a friend: the size, what it holds or attaches to, how it closes. Fits and print rules are applied for you.3
Check the render with your finger
Orbit and zoom on the virtual print bed, tap a face to read its size, and open the dimensions panel to see every number the model is built from.4
Change one thing at a time
Tap the face and fix it with a hand tool, or say what is wrong in a sentence. The change lands in seconds and the previous version shows as a ghost, so you can see exactly what moved. Undo, the hand tools and a new number typed in the dimensions panel spend nothing; an AI fix spends 2 credits (1 for a quick edit).5

What it costs on a phone
The same as on desktop. Start with Maker at $7.99 a month for 50 credits, cancel anytime, or Pro at $14.99 a month for 200 credits. Credits are spent per request, whichever model answers: 4 for a new part, its first 3 small changes free, 3 for a design change, 2 for a small change, 1 for a quick edit that changes a size or a number, and downloads are included in every plan (G-code sliced for your printer too, at the price of the STL). Downloading again after a fix is included too, which matters more on a phone, where the fix is typed at the printer thirty seconds after the part comes off the bed.Questions
For functional parts that have to fit something, SpeakCAD. It is built to be used from a phone browser end to end: shape the part with the hand tools or describe it, watch it render, edit by a tap or by chat, and download an instant STL or 3MF, or G-code already sliced for your printer, without a desktop, an app store or a slicer. Sculpting apps such as Nomad Sculpt are the better choice for figurines and organic shapes, and tablet CAD such as Shapr3D is the better choice when you draw with a stylus and need STEP files.
Yes. Pick G-code in the download dialog, choose your printer (more than 380 models with their official OrcaSlicer profiles), a print profile and a filament, and SpeakCAD slices in the cloud and sends the .gcode (or a sliced .gcode.3mf for Bambu printers) to Files on iPhone or Downloads on Android. From there it goes to the printer's app, a network upload or an SD card. No slicer app is needed on the phone. A sliced download costs the same as the STL: included in every plan, from Maker up.
There is no app to install, and none is needed. SpeakCAD runs in the phone's browser: Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android. Add it to your home screen if you want an icon. The 3D engine runs inside the browser tab, so nothing is uploaded to render a model.
No. It is the same editor, the same AI and the same 3D engine as on desktop. The layout adapts to the screen: the chat and the viewer stack, the dimensions panel folds away until you need it, and the viewer responds to touch.
Yes: a phone stand, a bracket, an organizer or an enclosure are all made on the phone. A typical functional part, with a couple of edits and a dimension check, is a downloaded file in about 10 to 15 minutes. The output is a watertight mesh that goes straight into a slicer, or G-code sliced for your printer that goes straight to the printer.
The shortest route is to download G-code: pick your printer in the download dialog and SpeakCAD slices the model for it, so the file only needs to reach the printer (SD card, USB stick, the printer's own app or a network upload). If you prefer your own slicer, the STL or 3MF lands in Files (iPhone) or Downloads (Android); share it to a slicer app that accepts 3MF files, save it to a shared folder the slicer computer can see, or AirDrop or Nearby Share it to that computer.
