Yes for the hand tools and the files they make. AI requests use credits, and so do downloads of AI work without a plan. Free, no card: the hand tools (hole with a screw head, cut, add, extrude, text, rounded corners and edges, shell, measure, copies in a row, a grid or a circle, every size and position typed in millimetres) on the live demo without an account and in a free account, where a part you shaped by hand downloads free as STL or 3MF; the live demo's 3 AI edits of a real part; opening one of the 650+ ready-made library models in a free account, resizing it in the viewer and downloading it as STL or 3MF; and the Fit Check coupon as STL or 3MF. A new free account also gets its first AI part free (not offered in every country): some accounts get the credits right away, others confirm with a card first (a free trial, nothing charged that day); downloading the part spends 4 credits without a plan, like any AI work (every plan includes downloads). Shaping a part by hand (a hole and its screw head, a cut, an added tab, raised or engraved text, an extruded face, rounded corners, and copies in a row, a grid or a circle) and downloading what you shaped are free. A new part or a design change by the AI spends 3 credits, a small change 2, a quick edit 1; downloads are included in every plan (4 credits without one), and G-code sliced for your printer costs the same as the STL. Credits can also be bought once, without a plan: 20 for $4.99, 50 for $9.99, 100 for $17.99 or 200 for $34.99. They never expire and add to a plan's credits; a credit costs less the bigger the top-up, and more than on any plan.

You do not pay for the file again: downloads are included in every plan, and without a plan the corrected design re-downloads free. Fix it yourself by typing the new number in the viewer or tapping Too tight or Too loose in Fit Check, which is free, or ask the AI for the fix (“the hole needs to be 0.4 mm wider”), which is one request (1 credit for a quick edit like this one, 2 for a small change, 3 for a design change). Without a plan, a download is charged again only when the design changes substantially: a new object, or a different overall shape or size. Downloading the same design in both STL and 3MF uses credits only once, and going back to a version you already downloaded is free.

Binary STL, 3MF, or G-code already sliced for your printer (at the price of the STL). STL and 3MF open directly in PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Cura and every other mainstream slicer; 3MF keeps the millimetre unit and the model name embedded, so nothing is lost on import. G-code goes straight to the printer.

No. Credits never expire: unused plan credits stay on your account until you use them, even if you cancel. Your models stay saved and editable.

The first charge on a new subscription is refunded within 14 days. If a download is unusable because of a defect on our side (a corrupt or non-manifold file), we restore that download. See the refund policy for details.

Yes. Open any model you designed, click Publish and, once approved, it goes live on speakcad.com/marketplace, free for everyone. Nothing is published unless you choose to. On an account that has paid for a plan or credits, publishing a model you have downloaded adds 10 credits to your balance the moment you submit it (taken back if the listing is not approved).

Yes. Your invitation link is on your plan page in the app. A friend who signs up from it gets 25 extra credits when they start a plan, and you receive credits the day their first payment goes through. The reward follows your own plan: 30 credits on Free, 30 on Maker, 100 on Pro, 200 on Unlimited. The credits add to your balance and never expire. If you would rather be paid in cash, the affiliate program pays 20% of every subscription payment from the people you bring, every month they stay.

The online slicer is free with a free account (no card, no credits): up to 10 files a day, and re-slicing the same file with other settings within 24 hours does not count. Accounts on a paid plan slice up to 60 files a day. Credits only pay for the AI editor.

SpeakCAD has a part printed in PLA or PETG and shipped by tracked delivery: designed in the editor or picked from the library or the marketplace, priced from a real slice before you pay (from $1.19 or €1.09 for a small part, plus tracked shipping with the import duties), up to 100 copies per order, to 40 countries in North America, Europe, Oceania and East Asia. It depends on the part: we slice it and price the grams of plastic, the printing hours, the print farm's setup, then tracked shipping with import duties at what it costs us, taxes included, before you pay. A small part like an AirTag holder is $1.19 plus $1.60 shipping in the United States (€1.09 plus €1.80 in the euro area); ten of them are $0.31 each plus one shipping, because the setup and the postage count once per order. No plan is needed to order a print.
