SpeakCAD vs Meshy: engineering parts or game assets
Both take a text prompt and return a 3D model, and that is where the similarity ends. Meshy is a generative mesh model: it imagines a shape and paints textures on it, which is ideal for characters, props and scenes. Imagined vs computed
Ask Meshy for "a phone stand" and you get a phone-stand-looking object with a texture. Ask SpeakCAD and you get a stand whose cradle is exactly 78 mm wide with a 60° back and a 12 mm cable slot, because you said so. Generative mesh models are not designed to respect measurements; CAD engines are.
Printability
SpeakCAD parts come out of solid booleans, so they are closed and manifold. Generative meshes frequently have holes, self-intersections or paper-thin regions that need Meshmixer or a repair pass before slicing, and their wall thickness is not controlled.
Where Meshy is better
Anything artistic: a dragon figurine, a stylised prop, a textured asset for Unity or Blender. SpeakCAD cannot do organic sculpting and does not try to.
