Terms of Service

The service

SpeakCAD generates 3D models from text descriptions and reference files. Generating and previewing models is free; downloading a model file (STL or 3MF) consumes one credit. New accounts receive 5 free credits.

Credits

One credit costs one US dollar when bought individually; bulk packs are discounted. Credits do not expire and are not transferable. Re-downloading a model after small edits is free under the rule described on the pricing page; a substantially new design consumes a new credit. We may adjust thresholds to keep the rule fair and will document changes.

Your content and ownership

You own the models you generate and the files you upload. You grant us the licence needed to store, process and display them to you and to operate the service. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to design weapons, weapon parts or accessories regulated by law, or anything intended to cause harm. Do not attempt to abuse the credit system, scrape the service, or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows.

No warranty on fitness

Generated models follow your description and general 3D-printing design rules, but you are responsible for verifying dimensions, tolerances, strength and safety before printing and using a part. The service is provided "as is".

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Unused paid credits are refundable as described in the refund policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which SpeakCAD is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
