Comparison

SpeakCAD vs Tripo AI: precise parts vs generative sculpts

Tripo AI is fast and impressive at turning a single image into a full 3D sculpt. For figurines and creative pieces it is a strong option. For a lid that must fit a 62.4 mm box, a generative sculpt is the wrong tool, and that is the gap SpeakCAD fills.

Text-to-3D is two different things

"Text to 3D" covers both generative sculpting and generative CAD. Tripo belongs to the first family: it produces plausible shapes with surface detail. SpeakCAD belongs to the second: it produces geometry computed from your numbers. Choose by asking whether the part has to fit anything.

Iteration

In Tripo, changing a detail means re-generating and hoping the rest stays. In SpeakCAD every edit is targeted: the AI changes one parameter or one feature and everything else is untouched, and re-downloading after a small fix is free.

Photos as input

SpeakCAD also accepts photos, but as a reference for shape and features. You still provide the key dimensions, which is what makes the result printable and correct.
