Different tools for different jobs
If you design products for injection moulding, need STEP files for a machinist, or model curvy consumer goods, Fusion 360 is the right tool and SpeakCAD is not trying to replace it. For the bracket under your desk, the knob on your amplifier or the enclosure for your sensor, opening Fusion is overkill: SpeakCAD gets you the STL before Fusion finishes loading.
Speed to first print
A SpeakCAD session is: describe, glance at the render, adjust one thing, download. Typically under five minutes. Engineers use it as a sketchpad to validate an idea before committing to a full model.
Precision and printability
SpeakCAD applies your dimensions exactly and adds FDM design rules by default. Fusion will do whatever you tell it, including things that do not print well.
