Features

Everything a functional 3D print needs

SpeakCAD is not a general-purpose CAD program. It is the fastest way from “I need a part that…” to a file your slicer accepts, and it runs entirely in your browser with nothing to install.

Describe it, don’t draw it

Write what you need in plain English. Sizes, purpose, what it attaches to. The AI turns it into geometry.

Live 3D preview

The model compiles and renders in your browser in seconds. Orbit, zoom, check dimensions and volume.

Edit by chatting

“Make the walls 2 mm thicker.” “Add a cable slot underneath.” Each request updates the design in place.

STL and 3MF, print-ready

Manifold, watertight meshes in millimetres. Drop them straight into PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Cura or OrcaSlicer.

Designed for FDM by default

Minimum wall thickness, fit clearances, flat bottoms and no floating geometry, without asking.

Photos, sketches and STL references

Attach a picture of the broken part, a napkin sketch or an existing STL to build around.

Fair credits, free re-downloads

One download = one credit = $1. Fix a tolerance and download again for free. Nothing to subscribe to.

Runs in your browser. Nothing to install.

No software to download, no plugin, no GPU. Open the app, type a sentence, and the first render appears in 10 to 20 seconds.

Parametric under the hood

Models are real OpenSCAD programs. Tweak them in the app, or take the code and keep going.

Describe it, don’t draw it

Write what you need in plain English. Sizes, purpose, what it attaches to. The AI turns it into geometry.SpeakCAD replaces sketches, constraints and extrude menus with a conversation. Say “a bracket that holds a 32 mm pipe against a wall with two M4 screws” and you get a model with exactly those numbers. No tutorials, no toolbar hunting.

Live 3D preview

The model compiles and renders in your browser in seconds. Orbit, zoom, check dimensions and volume.Every answer is compiled to a mesh right in the browser tab, then shown on a 220 x 220 mm virtual print bed with a dimensions readout, volume estimate and triangle count. Wireframe mode shows the exact geometry slicers will see.

Edit by chatting

“Make the walls 2 mm thicker.” “Add a cable slot underneath.” Each request updates the design in place.Models are fully parametric under the hood: every important dimension is a named variable, so a follow-up edit changes one number rather than rebuilding the part. Ask for as many rounds as you want; iterations are free.

STL and 3MF, print-ready

Manifold, watertight meshes in millimetres. Drop them straight into PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Cura or OrcaSlicer.Geometry is built with solid booleans (CSG), so exports are closed, manifold meshes that never need a repair pass. 3MF files carry the unit and the model name; STL files are binary and compact.

Designed for FDM by default

Minimum wall thickness, fit clearances, flat bottoms and no floating geometry, without asking. The engine applies printability rules to every model: walls at least 1.2 mm, floors at least 1 mm, 0.2 to 0.3 mm clearance for press fits, parts resting on the bed, no unsupported overhangs where a chamfer would do. You can override any of them.

Photos, sketches and STL references

Attach a picture of the broken part, a napkin sketch or an existing STL to build around. The AI reads images, so “the clip in this photo, 40 mm wide” works. Upload an STL or 3MF and ask for a lid, a stand or a modified version; upload a .scad file to keep editing a parametric model you already have.

Fair credits, free re-downloads

One download = one credit = $1. Fix a tolerance and download again for free. Nothing to subscribe to.Generating and editing is unlimited. You only spend a credit when you export a new design, and small fixes after a test print (a hole a bit wider, a wall a bit thicker) re-download at no cost. Bulk packs go down to $0.70 per download.

Open the app, type a sentence, and the first render appears in 10 to 20 seconds.SpeakCAD runs entirely in your browser: the AI, the 3D engine and the viewer all live inside the tab. There is nothing to download or install, no licence to manage, and it works the same on a MacBook, a Windows laptop or a Chromebook. The only files you ever download are your finished STL and 3MF models, and you will be slicing before a traditional CAD program has finished loading.

Parametric under the hood

Models are real OpenSCAD programs. Tweak them in the app, or take the code and keep going.Behind every render is readable OpenSCAD source you can view in the app. Power users can copy it into OpenSCAD desktop, version it in git, or feed it back later for another round of edits.
