What the trial addsYour own parts from a description, Smart mode (the strongest model, which reasons through the geometry), photo, STL, 3MF and .scad uploads, edits for a credit each on Fast, and downloads of the STL, 3MF or G-code sliced for your printer. It starts with 50 credits on Maker or 100 on Pro.
The parts in the demoOne of 4 is loaded at random: magsafe iphone and watch stand, headphone wall hook, sd card and usb caddy, round drawer knob. Each was generated from the one-sentence prompt shown at the top of the chat, exactly as a subscriber would type it. Press “Another part” to load a different one.

Questions about the demo

Yes. The live demo on the homepage (and at speakcad.com/demo) is the real editor with a real part already loaded: a MagSafe iPhone and Apple Watch stand, a headphone hook, an SD card caddy or a drawer knob, picked at random. Edit it by chat in Fast mode (“make the lip 4 mm taller”) or click a part of the model and type a new number, and watch it rebuild in your browser. No sign-up, no card, nothing to install; it works on a phone too. The demo allows 3 AI edits of that part; describing your own part, Smart mode, uploads and downloads come with the 7-day free trial.

The demo edits one pre-made part in Fast mode, 3 times, and nothing can be downloaded. The free trial is the full editor: describe any part from scratch, use Smart mode (the strongest model, which reasons through the geometry and gets tolerances and printability right), attach photos, STL, 3MF or .scad files, iterate in Smart or Fast mode, and download the STL, 3MF or G-code sliced for your printer with the 50 credits (Maker) or 100 credits (Pro) the trial starts with. A card is required, nothing is charged for 7 days, cancel anytime.

Fast mode is the quicker model, good at changing sizes, holes and tolerances of an existing part, and cheap enough to run for anyone who passes by. New parts and redesigns need Smart mode, which thinks through the geometry for a minute or more; that is what the trial is for. The demo tells you when a request crosses that line instead of quietly producing something worse.
