Don't have a printer? Print it: SpeakCAD has your part printed by a print farm and shipped to your door by tracked delivery, import duties paid. This guide goes through an order from the first click to the parcel, and what to check before you pay.

Before you order: check the part

The print farm prints exactly the file it receives, so the checks happen before you pay:

  • Dimensions. Read the size in the editor's dimensions panel and measure between faces: the part is printed in millimetres, as modelled.
  • Clearances. Anything that slides onto or into something needs 0.3 to 0.5 mm of room; printed holes come out slightly small.
  • Size limit. 250 mm on the longest side and 1000 g per piece. The order form says so if the part is over; split it in the editor and order both halves.
  • Material. PLA for indoor parts, PETG for heat (a car, a radiator), sun, water or parts that flex.

How the price is made

The part is sliced with the settings print farms use (0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 20 % infill, supports where needed). The price counts the grams of plastic, supports included, the printing hours, the print farm's setup and the card fees; tracked shipping to your country, with its import duties, comes on top once per order at what it costs us (about $8.00 to the United States for a small parcel). The order form shows both, taxes included, and the total is fixed before you pay. The setup and the postage count once per order, so a batch costs much less per piece; the order form shows the price of each piece when you order several.

Ordering several copies

Set the quantity, up to 100. If you already downloaded a design, the Download dialog says "Printing several?" and the form opens on 10 pieces. Order a single piece first when the part has to fit something, check it, then order the rest.

After you pay

  • Order received: the confirmation e-mail arrives within a minute, and the order appears in your print orders.
  • Being printed: the print farm has the part on a printer.
  • On its way: the tracking number comes by e-mail. Delivery takes about 2 to 3 weeks from the payment to North America, Europe and Oceania, 1 to 2 weeks in East Asia, with nothing to pay at the door.

Need to change the address, or something looks wrong? Write to us in the chat on the site with your order number, before it ships if you can.

If it goes wrong

Made to order, so it can't be returned; if we can't deliver it, or it arrives broken, the full price comes back as SpeakCAD credits. The credits are counted at the Pro plan's rate and shown on the order form before you pay.
