Ceiling mount ring for a round access point

A ring-shaped mounting plate for disc-style wireless access points that ship without a suitable ceiling bracket, or whose original plate was lost. The ring has an outer diameter matched to the device, three bayonet tabs on the inner edge that engage the slots on the back of the AP with a quarter turn, a central 30 mm cable opening and four 4.5 mm screw holes on a 70 mm circle for a standard ceiling box. A 4 mm thick plate with slightly chamfered tabs makes the twist-lock smooth and secure.

Tab positions and diameters differ for every model, which makes this an ideal case for describing rather than downloading. Tell SpeakCAD the AP diameter, the number of slots and their angles, and preview the ring for free. Adjust tab thickness or screw circle in the chat before you commit credits.

Design a ceiling mount ring for a 160 mm round access point. Ring outer diameter 150 mm, 4 mm thick, 30 mm centre hole. Three bayonet tabs 12 mm wide and 3 mm tall at 120 degree spacing. Four 4.5 mm screw holes on a 70 mm circle.

Change any number to match what you measured. The AI keeps the rest of the design consistent, and small follow-up edits after a download are free.
