Tent guy line tensioner for 3 mm reflective cord

A three-hole line tensioner for the 2 to 3 mm reflective guy cord used on MSR, Big Agnes, Nemo and Decathlon Quechua tents, replacing the sliders that snap in the cold or vanish in the grass. The body is 45 mm long, 12 mm wide and 5 mm thick with two 3.4 mm cord holes and a 3.4 mm friction slot, edges rounded 1 mm so the cord does not fray, and a raised arrow so you thread it the right way in the dark. Print a dozen flat in PETG or nylon at 100 percent infill; glow filament is a nice touch.

Cord diameters differ between tents and a tensioner drilled for 3 mm slips on 2 mm line, so generating the holes for your actual cord makes the difference between a taut fly and a flapping one. Type your cord size into SpeakCAD, preview the tensioner free in the browser, adjust the slot bite in the chat, then download the STL.

Design a tent guy line tensioner 45 mm long, 12 mm wide and 5 mm thick with two 3.4 mm through holes 15 mm apart and a 3.4 mm wide friction slot at one end angled 20 degrees, 1 mm rounded edges and a raised 0.5 mm arrow on top.

Change any number to match what you measured. The AI keeps the rest of the design consistent, and small follow-up edits after a download are free.
