Compost aerator tool head

A compost heap breaks down faster when air gets into the middle, and this aerator head turns a broom handle into a plunging turner. The head is a 60 mm diameter hub with a 25 mm socket for a wooden handle, secured by two screw holes, and four 60 mm wings that fold flat on the down-stroke and spread on the pull, each hinged on a 4 mm pin with a stop tab. Print the hub upright in PETG or ASA with 5 walls, and the wings on their sides at 100 percent infill.

SpeakCAD builds the socket to your handle diameter and scales the wings for a small tumbler or a large bay. If you prefer a fixed corkscrew head, describe it and the model regenerates in the chat. Generating and previewing the design is free.
