Wall mount for 18 V power tool batteries
A wall rail that spare 18 V slide-on battery packs click onto, so they stop rolling around a drawer and are visible when you need one. The mount copies the tool's slide profile: two parallel rails of the right width and spacing, a stop at the back and a small ramp the pack's latch clicks over. A 4 mm back plate with two 5 mm screw holes per position and 3 mm rails with 0.3 mm clearance give a firm but easy slide. Print rails horizontal for a smooth sliding surface.
Each brand's rail dimensions are different and often argued about online; with SpeakCAD you simply measure your battery's slot width, rail height and latch position and type them in. The preview is free, and refining the clearance or adding a third position is a quick follow-up.
Design a wall rail for two 18 V slide-on batteries. Back plate 200x60x4 mm with four 5 mm countersunk holes. Per battery: two rails 3 mm wide, 5 mm tall, 42 mm apart with 0.3 mm clearance, 45 mm long, a back stop and a 1.5 mm latch ramp.
