Keycap storage tray with stem posts

A tray for sorting and storing loose MX-style keycaps on a grid of cross-shaped posts that hold each cap upright and prevent scuffing. Posts are 4 mm cross stems with a 0.15 mm undersize so caps press on gently, spaced 19.05 mm apart to match keyboard layout. Walls are 2 mm, the floor is 3 mm, and a snap-fit lid with 0.3 mm clearance keeps dust out so trays can stack.

Sets with novelties, spacebars and extra rows do not fit a fixed grid, so describe your set to SpeakCAD and it lays out posts for every cap size including 2u and 6.25u. Preview the tray in the browser at no cost, tweak the stem fit if your caps are looser or tighter, and download the STL once it matches your collection.
