Salomon Quicklace cord lock replacement
Salomon Speedcross, Sense Ride and XA Pro trail shoes use a Quicklace system with a small two-hole cord lock that eventually cracks or loses its spring. This replacement is a 22 mm long lock body with two 2 mm holes for the Kevlar lace, a 1.8 mm cantilever spring arm printed in one piece, a 0.4 mm ratchet tooth and a 5 mm thumb pad. Print it on its side in PETG or nylon at 0.1 mm layers so the spring arm has continuous fibres; PLA becomes brittle after a few muddy miles.
Cord locks from Salomon, Hoka and Decathlon Kiprun differ in lace diameter and body size, so a downloaded one jams or slips.
