DeWalt 20V MAX battery wall rack with drop-in slots
A rail-style rack for DeWalt 20V MAX and XR batteries (also the 18V XR packs sold in Europe) that mirrors the slide-on rails of a DeWalt tool so a pack clicks in with the same motion. Each slot has two 6 mm rails set 44 mm apart with a 0.3 mm clearance, a 2 mm ramp so the latch engages, and a stop at the back to keep the terminals off the wall. The rack shown holds three packs on 85 mm centres in a 260 by 80 mm plate 6 mm thick, with four 5 mm screw holes; it prints face down in PETG with the rails needing no supports.
Because the rail profile is what matters, a rack that is a fraction too tight snaps its rails after ten uses. In SpeakCAD you describe your pack count and layout, preview the rack in the browser without paying, tune the clearance in the chat, then download the STL.
Create a battery wall plate 260 mm wide, 80 mm tall and 6 mm thick with three slide-on battery slots on 85 mm centres, each having two 6 by 6 mm rails 44 mm apart and 60 mm long with 0.3 mm clearance, a 2 mm entry ramp, a 5 mm rear stop, and four 5 mm countersunk screw holes.
