Case for an LM2596 buck converter module

A tidy shell for the common 43 x 21 mm LM2596 step-down module, covering the exposed inductor and trimmer while leaving the input and output terminals reachable through end slots. The module has two 3 mm holes 30 mm apart on its diagonal, so the base uses two posts there plus rails on the long sides; walls are 1.6 mm, clearance 0.5 mm and internal height 16 mm to clear the capacitors. A 4 mm hole in the lid above the trim pot lets you adjust voltage without opening the case.

Buck modules differ in component height and terminal type, and SpeakCAD sizes the cavity and slots from your board. Preview the case free in the browser, then ask for a voltmeter window, a wall tab or a snap lid rather than screws.
