Wüsthof knife block insert with slotted grid for any knives
A replacement insert for a Wüsthof, Zwilling or Victorinox wooden knife block whose slots no longer match the knives you own. The insert is a 3 mm walled tray 100 by 130 mm on the face, 220 mm deep and angled to match the block, with two 50 by 3.5 mm slots for chef and bread knives, three 30 by 3 mm slots for utility and paring knives and a 20 mm round bore for a honing steel. Slot floors are open so crumbs fall through the block base. Print it slot side up in PETG, which cleans easily and does not absorb water.
Blocks vary widely in interior size and every set of knives is different, so a generated insert sized to your block and blades beats a bought universal grid. Measure the block cavity, describe your knives in SpeakCAD, preview the insert in the browser at no cost, add slots for steak knives in the chat and download the STL or 3MF.
Design a knife block insert 100 mm wide, 130 mm tall and 220 mm deep with 3 mm walls, two slots 50 x 3.5 mm, three slots 30 x 3 mm and one 20 mm round bore for a honing steel, all slots open at the bottom, sized to fit inside a Wüsthof Classic knife block cavity.
